Hi! I’m Yaroslava, a Russian teacher and philologist. You may already know me from YouTube.

i’m enjoying your programme very much, it’s awesome and it was one of my best decisions in year 2025, to join in 💜 I never imagined that i would look forward for new homework in my life, ever, but here i do. Exercises are interesting, fun, various and not boring. Besides russian i get to learn new stuff and widen my mind. ❓FAQ

I am not sure about my level. Will it be too hard/easy?

The easiest way to check is with my YouTube videos:

- If you can follow Learn Russian with News with subtitles, the program should be a good fit.

- If you understand my vlogs but find the news videos difficult, the weekly practice will be more challenging. I’ll show you how to adjust it to your level.

- If my spoken videos are still difficult even with subtitles, I’d recommend waiting a little before joining.

I struggle with cases/verbs of motion/etc. Will the program help?

The goal of the program is immersion and understanding authentic materials (natives to natives).

That's why grammar topics are not covered deeply / systematically.
For practicing grammar, I recommend Живая речь textbooks. They are the best for grammar.

I need help with speaking. Will the program help?

You will definitely improve in understanding authentic Russian speech. You will learn many expressions that will help your speaking. I often incorporate speaking prompts to the practices to improve on your own.

Do you give a feedback on practice?

Individual correction isn’t included. This is a self-study program, with answer keys and explanations to help you check your work. However, you’re welcome to ask questions via email — I do reply, although not always quickly. Occasionally, I also organize Zoom sessions where we go over your answers together.

If I won't like the program, can I get a refund?

Sure, email me within the first 3 weeks, and I will refund you :)
